The project consists of the complete construction of the new Souks of Beirut, including Souk AI Tawileh, Souk AI Jamil, Souk Ayass, Souk AI Arwam, Trablous and Fakhry Bey Streets, AI Ajami Square and the Gold Souks. Works performed include the construction of up to five-story buildings for ten blocks with a total built-up area of 77,000 m² with semi-covered basalt paved pedestrian streets containing retail and commercial spaces grouped under various blocks. Works included all concrete and civil works, all electro-mechanical works including MV substation and switchgears, generators, conveying systems, fire detection, EPABX system, building management system, integrated security system, chillers, HVAC, drainage and fire-fighting (CO² system), all finishing works including all stone cladding, decorative bronze works, brick roofing system, and all landscaping and hardscaping works.
